Mexicana en quiebra?

Con temor a publicar alguna mentira o dato no corroborado, comunico que la siguiente redacción me la hizo llegar un conocido que espero desmientan trabajadores de Mexicana de Aviación.

Tras las noticias de crisis económica que está viviendo Mexicana, han surgido comentarios y rumores de lo que realmente está pasando y este definitivamente es uno que corre por las venas de Mexicana y, de ser cierto, tiene que salir a la luz.

MEXICANA DE AVIACION MIENTE

Esta es la verdadera situación:
Mexicana de Aviación se queja de estar en crisis financiera, dice que por sus deudas con las arrendadoras de aviones y el gasto laboral de sus empleados está al borde de la quiebra. ESTO ES MENTIRA. Los pilotos y sobrecargos no aceptamos que la aerolínea diga estar en crisis debido a sus trabajadores. El fondo del problema tiene que ver con una pésima administración. Mexicana cumplió 89 años de vida y a Gastón Azcárraga sólo le tomó 4 años ponerla al borde de la quiebra.

En Diciembre del 2005 el IPAB (fondos del pueblo mexicano) le vendió a Gastón Azcárraga Mexicana de Aviación en 165 millones de dólares. En Octubre del 2006, los pilotos aceptamos reducciones y modificaciones en nuestro contrato colectivo de trabajo que le han ahorrado a la empresa 200 millones de dólares, ¡35 millones más de lo que le costó! A cambio de ceder algunas de nuestras prestaciones y reducción de salario prometieron incrementar en 30 aviones la flota de la empresa, pero sólo trajeron 5 y en vez de hacer crecer a Mexicana, crearon dos empresas de "bajo costo". Se comprometió a invertir en la aerolinea, pero nunca lo hizo, más bien la desmanteló.

Hace una semana, Mexicana exigió reducir 70% de nuestro sueldo y modificar el contrato, lo cual nos impediría asegurar que se respeten las normas internacionales que garantizan el buen desempeño de nuestra
labor, ahora la empresa amenaza con la quiebra y creemos que la seguridad de ustedes no tiene precio, es demasiado valiosa y es por ello que les pedimos su apoyo para evitar que quiebren a la aerolínea más antigua de México.

Los pilotos no permitiremos que desmantelen y/o quiebren a Mexicana de Aviación, que dejen en el desamparo a miles de trabajadores y no permitiremos que se atente contra la seguridad de nuestros pasajeros.

ASPA (Asociación Sindical de Pilotos Aviadores) ES PARTE DE LA SOLUCIÓN, NO DEL PROBLEMA!!!

• Los sueldos de los pilotos de Mexicana son menores en un 12% al promedio de lo que ganan pilotos internacionales.
• Los pilotos aviadores agrupados en Aspa somos una GARANTÍA DE SEGURIDAD, ya que nuestro contrato nos permite velar porque se mantengan los más altos estándares de calidad y nuestros vuelos sean seguros.
• Nuestros contratos colectivos no son impedimentos para ser eficientes.

Reto Camisero

El primero de Noviembre regresé al DF de visita pues no estaba tan lejos. Estaba en Orizaba trabajando en un proyecto para la nueva embotelladora de SIVESA en Chihuahua y un fin de semana decidí ir a visitar a La Comandancia.

Fue un 1ro. de Noviembre que me convertí en Camisa y, para comprobarlo, hay video:

Cabe recalcar que era como la 1:00 am y estaba haciedno un frió de la shet, pero estuvo xido! Ese lugar tendrá un lugar muy especial para mi, sobre todo por los amigos que llegué a conocer. Espero visitarlo seguido.

NIN

I am a big fan of music and, thus, I find crative music very amusing. There are few musical groups that compose tracks with such creativity, that they manage to make listeners feel exactly what they meant.

One of such groups is Nine Inch Nails, or NIN for short. They hail from Cleveland and have been around since 1988 when Trent Reznor founded the group. They have released 8 albums, with the last 2, The Slip and Ghosts, being released as free downloads.

They played At the Motorokr Fest 2008 at Mexico City Saturday October 18, 2008. Their show is incredibly amazing with giant screens and effects. Definitely one of the best concerts I've gone to. A must for fans of industrial rock music.

SeaSoN FiNaLe

Over time the construction site I'm working at, has been the epicenter of emotional (and financial, for some) situations for all that have worked (or are still working) here.

Since the project's beginning, infinity of stories have been weaved, each forming part of a "Season", as I liked to called them. Every season has an end and in these "Season Finales", stories concluded and gave way to more stories, each deeply linked to a greater scheme. Some of them ended well for some, and for others the result wasn't as satisfactory as they thought it would.

As we battled our way through some obstacles and got over them eventually, a time comes when not every obstacle can be effectively defeated. Some of these stones-in-the-road cannot be overcome, not because we can't but because they are out of our reach. Decisions made by people with an entirely different point of view ($$$) can pose an inescapable obstacle to many people.

Through difficult times we have traversed but now we face the repercussions of a choice made by a power greater than us and we are left in a limbo. We must wait for the pieces of the puzzle to fall into place before assuming the outcome, for which there are two options.

If everything goes as planned, we stay and keep managing this massive building to its completion. If it does not go well we leave the project, and probably Mexico City as well, and placed into another project and not necessarily in the same state. I've been told that I have been already chosen to be in a project in another state but I truly wanted to return to MTY as I have unfinished "hearty" business, but that's a different story.

Anyway, this is it, the new Season Finale and even though the project continues, this may be our last in this project that was going too good. There's a deadline in August 20, then we'll see how it turns out.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted as soon as I find out our fate but if we have to leave sooner, I hope to return one day and get to see this project completed and successful. I'll keep you posted, k?

Drivin' in Mexico City

Well... this will be pretty quick: I just drove for the first time in Mexico City in my girlfriend's mother car. From Viaducto and Cuauhtémoc to Tlalpan on the Periférico's second floor. I was receiving directions via Nextel so I had assistance pretty quick but it was an intense trip nonetheless. I've been here about a week and I've been the navigator in the city with a Guía Roji map on my right hand so I think I know more or less routes, but I know for sure that if you take the wrong exit, it can lead somewhere from where the return could be a difficult find if you don't know the city or if you don't have the city's map in hand, which I do own now. I miss you all, specially my Luna.
