Dimmu Borgir returned to Monterrey with their Invaluable Darkness Tour this last saturday (04/Oct/08) and this was the first time I have attended one of their concerts and I must say that they offer quite a show.
Dimmu Borgir is a Symphonic Black Metal group from Norway and have been around since 1993. Their line-up has changed over time but their current Line-up is as follows:
- Shagrath (Stian Thoresen) – vocals, guitar, bass guitar, drums, synthesizer (1993–)
- Silenoz (Sven Atle Kopperud) – guitar (1993–), backing vocals (1994–1996, 2005)
- Mustis (Øyvind Mustaparta) – keyboards, synthesizer (1998–)
- ICS Vortex (Simen Hestnæs) – clean vocals (1998–), bass guitar (1999–)
- Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen) – guitar (2000–)
- Hellhammer (Jan Axel Blomberg) – drums (2005–on hiatus)
- Tony Laureano – drums (live) (2004–2005, 2007–)
I found some videos from the concert at Monterrey so if you didn't go, you can have an idea of it and if you did, well, remember to head-bang!:
